Introduction
Parallel strand cable/Suspension Bridge Cables is a cable composed of multiple steel strands parallel to each other. Steel strand according to the different forms of anti-corrosion is divided into two kinds of galvanized steel strand and epoxy coated steel strand surface anti-corrosion, after the surface anti-corrosion, and then through the corrosion oil outside the PE sheathed unbonded steel strand, and Hot-extruded PE protection of double PE unbonded steel strand in order to achieve better anti-corrosion performance.
Double-layer PE unbonded epoxy steel strand has the same protective function as other PE steel strand, mainly designed for the replaceable steel strand cable. The PE steel wire has a 2mm thick oil layer between the polyethylene layer C and the polyethylene layer d, reducing the friction between the two polyethylene layers and playing a replaceable role. The cable made of such PE strand can be replaced with a single PE strand.
